Wayan used to be a snorkelling instructor before the pandemic in Amed, Bali. But, during this challenging time, he goes fishing everyday to support his family and community in order to make ends meet. Wayan is lucky as he has a boat; others are really struggling. This morning he caught a lot of mackerel worth almost 1 million IDR (USD 70 approx).

It is a hard job to do this job by yourself, so the whole community comes together and helps Wayan with the net and unloading the fish. Everyone works together and supports each other during this unprecedented time. Some of the fish is sold in the market hoping to make a profit.
